The Sensor Pack includes two LDR light sensor modules, two infra-red transmit modules and an infra-red receive module.
The LDR light sensor modules measure light levels, so your robot program can respond to light or dark. This means that you can create interesting robot programs such as:
-
A robot that follows the light from a hand held torch (photophilic robot),
-
A robot that behave like a cockroach and tries to find a dark corner (photophobic robot),
-
A robot that sounds a wake up alarm at sunrise (annoying robot), and any other ideas that you dream up.

The infra-red receiver module can be used to receive infra-red commands from the
Microbric infra-red remote control, to make a remote control robot or from another robot using the two infra-red transmit modules supplied in this pack. This means that two or more robots can communicate with each other. One robot could be the master sending out commands and the other would be the slave doing what it's told or create a robot swarm, but for good, not evil!
